I'm in Dunwoody. Joined yesterday and I'd totally be down for a meetup... something about lining a bunch of KLs outside of a dive bar kind of has me a bit excited.

Angel, it would be an awesome site wouldn't it? Think we will have to grow this over time. I have a couple people east of us that we may get together as well as excursion out to Blue Ridge. Maybe we need to talk to some of the Alabama guys and see what's going on over on the state line. I am in Sandy Springs, there's a chance we passed each other!

Yeah, I think I've only seen two other KLs in the area and I'm sure one of them was you (just playing the odds there). I work at the Cox complex near perimeter so if you are ever around that area, I'm sure we've crossed paths. In a few weeks I'm planning on taking a trip up to the Houston Valley OHV Trails.

Do you do a U-Turn North on Peachtree-Dunwoody from Cox, or at least a left there by Costco? I live across the street from Cox (used to work there CVS Ops IP Video Engineer). If that's you I made a point to get over in the oncoming traffic lane next to that turning lane just to wave. It was less than a month ago.

I've done a few U-Turns there, but it's not on my daily route. I'm 2 miles north on Peachtree-Dunwoody so it's a pretty direct commute. I did a U-Turn there a few weeks back and curbed my front passenger wheel (and cried for days) because I was sure it was going to go over the curb I didn't slow down any. Just missed it.

Looking at your build page, I am now inspired to add more gear to my ride and not sure if it's worth it or not. The idea of the tradein value or resale value is always in my mind and I'm not certain on how it gets impacted by mods. And so sorry to hear about your rig; people around here are crazy when it comes to driving.

I can understand the tradein/resale side of it. I am having trouble trying to convince the girlfriend that I wouldn't do that as she is the type that uses for three years and then gets rid of. I bought my Jeep with the thoughts of having it for a while.. as my DD and then eventually just my toy. As of this very moment, aside from the accident, I haven't done anything that endangers the resale value and (although I am not entirely sure), I think the rails could be pulled off and made it to look stock if the need should arise. Anyone that has installed them on their own may be able to answer a little better. I will know after I install mine. Where that changes is doing a bumper/winch. As of right now, that's the only thing that would be detrimental to resale. As more parts come available for the KLs, I am sure that will change. As I said, I am Jeep guy and I want to keep it.

The girlfriend is already talking about buying me another car as she thinks the Jeep isn't professional enough to run around in my work circles. I am anxious to get her out on a trail so she can stop yammering about it. "OMG you and this Jeep and talking to these other Jeep people! It's like a Cult!" HAHA!

That's the point, though, right? RIGHT??

As for the resale value, my dad made a good point when I was getting this one about the tow package and that people around this area interested in a 4x4 would be very interested in the addition of a tow package. My thinking, as long as it's to add benefits of the 4x4 nature of the ride or safety, it would add to the resale value. I'm not planning on selling any time soon, just always in my mind.

What part of Marietta? I've lived in three vastly different areas over there

Really close to town center mall off of bells ferry road, pretty much Kennesaw. Thats true, Marietta is pretty big lol
Hey Pjames - you might just live next door to me. I'm off bells ferry Rd as well near town center.

I just finished spending today learning the Trailhawks abilities on a few trails up in Beasley Knob.

Alpharetta here. Haven't gotten my TH out on any trails yet as I just traded the GC in for it last month. I'd love to hear any feedback on solid trails up in north GA if anyone has any. I took the GC on a few forest service roads up around Springer Mountain, but no heavy trailing where I went. The ones close to the AT trailheads are pretty well kept. I'd love to try some a little harder in the TH, but it's still stock so not looking to get too crazy before at least getting some rock rails.
