@Gary Kline

Good day.
Please advise, I am trying to disable the AGS Unit, but I am facing a problem.

1. Launch AlfaOBD
2. Select Body Computer, select change the vehicle configuration.
3. I select AGS, set Absent
4. It says proxy size exceeded
5. Expand the proxy
6. Repeat points 2-3, Absent is set
7. agree the proxy
8. Successfull

But the active blinds are still activated and start the fan at 100% power.
Hi @behelf ,

Welcome to the Forum! In doing a Search, you probably noticed there were several posts where I mentioned if anyone had a 2.4 with a faulty AGS to try AlfaOBD to set them to 'Absent' to see if the Cherokee's PCM would accept it (rationale being that since 2014 Cherokee's with the 2.4 didn't come with AGS, there must be a way to have them non-present in the configuration). I have a 3.2 engine (2014) so no way to test it myself.

To the best of my knowledge, no one responded yet that they tried it before your post above so you may be the first and as you're saying, it doesn't seem to appear to work. So if I understand correctly, you tried initially, ran into some issue but eventually the configuration accepted it but it still doesn't actually work in operation, correct?

When you view your current configuration (under "Body Computer" where it lists all the currently set values), do you see AGS set to "Absent"? It's possible that it just doesn't work (e.g. there is more required to 'delete' the AGS that AlfaOBD cannot do).

Question... if you set the AGS to 'Absent' (as it sounds like you currently have), and you unplug the AGS (or pull the fuse), are you getting the U11E9 code still?

ps: Either way, thank you for your experimentation and trying! (y) The AlfaOBD app. is made for many FCA/Stellantis vehicles so it's by user trial & error such as you're doing to determine what works/does not work on the Cherokee. Remember to do a proxy backup of course before doing any changes (just a safety measure so you can always restore to the previous good configuration). Also, sometimes things in AlfaOBD take a couple "tries" to work so if you feel like it, try setting the AGS back to 'Present' and then back to 'Absent' making sure that after each change, do a Proxy Alignment, then turn the car off, take our your OBD2 adapter, open & close door and wait 2 minutes (or until the Cluster/EVIC turns off) before doing the next operation.

If I take out the fuse = (fan 100% power + U11E9 Error + error changing driving mode, round switch)
Thanks @behelf for all that testing. So, it doesn't look like there's a way to delete/disable AGS in AlfaOBD, correct? Also, I just realized my daughter's 2015 2.4 probably has AGS. I don't think I'll get a chance until the spring (April) but when I can, I'll do a test on hers to confirm.
