I saw it for sale on bass pro site

 

Bought and tried based on this thread. Can't say anything about durability but sure seems clear that it does not have that sticky/too shiny problem I got with Armorall on a car dashboard. Looks and feels just right. Would be great if using this retards fuzzy headlight cover problem I got on my last Jeep.

 

Hmm hubby uses 303 on the black cladding on the Cherokee, as well as on the top of his Honda S2000. He loves the stuff for the Honda, BUT he isn't totally happy on how it's working on the Cherokee, especially after a rain.

Any other suggestions?

 

I had black plastic molding on an 04 silverado. A coat of colonite wax maybe once or twice a year had it looking new when I sold it last month. You can use this wax on anything and real easy to work with

 

Found 303 at local O'Reilly's auto parts store. Two spray bottles, in the back section of "no one ever buys these things, but we have one or two in stock" . Bought both, kid behind counter said it can't be better than AA. so we went out to parking lot and did his trim. He went back into store to call "headquarters" and get more for store. Stuff just plain works better than any other product.

Does the black bead up in the rain after you use this?

It does and no white residue. Great wax

Just picked up a bottle from Wal-Mart for under $10. Sprayed the interior (including the leather seats) and I must say that I am totally impressed. Other than me missing a few spots (as pointed out by Mrs. Mults), the product covers well, dries fast and does make the interior look amazing. No greasy feel, has a nice matte finish and just looks kicka$$.

Time will tell how long an application lasts, but for this first-time user, I am sold.

 

Bought a large bottle of 303 and was put off by the instructions. But other members convinced me so I spent about 2 hours yesterday doing all the inside and the outside plastic, with help from the hausfrau.

Wonderful! The secret is to spray the 303 on a microfibre cloth, then rub it over the plastic surface, and finally buffer it with a dry mf cloth. A little goes a long way. Indeed, I think the $23 bottle I bought is a lifetime supply.

 

Does this 303 make the trim look worse after a rain like Armor All does? Some of these products actually make the trim more faded unless you continue to use them. I found on a Cavalier I had with unpainted bumpers that they actually got worse after using protectants.

 

The 303 product does have a drying period and if you were to use it on an exterior surface that got exposed to water before it dried, you might get some spotting.
It definitely won't make things worse....like Armor-All. Just re-apply when you want to give a surface that "refreshed" look and it'll look like new again.

 

I've used 303 since our first motorhome about 20 yrs ago. After the first spray bottle I've been buying it by the gallon... probably at about 1 gal/year... more/less I'm not sure; I just get a gallon when I'm running low. No petroleum distillates and UV blocking makes it great for preserving tires. I use it on anything plastic or rubber on the MH and cars.

The UV blocking gives it advantage of using it on tires, esp. those on RV's and other vehicles which are exposed to the sun and sit for a long time. Rolling tires naturally "protect themselves" as the flexing releases compounds in the rubber which protect from UV. Sitting motionless can increase the rate at which the rubber dries out... and RV tires are expensive++ compared to a gallon of 303!

 

Found 303 Products at West Marine

Bought a bottle of the protectant and detailer for the new TH once it arrives. Heard good things about it. Will post comments after first use.

 

I've got a red Trailhawk and used the 303 on everything that was black excrpt the clear plastic and the window glass. Great stuff.

 

I tried 303 recently. I am a convert!
