(I don't see my question being addressed so I'm starting a new thread. If I am out of line please let me know, I don't frequent these kinds of boards often.)
So... what is the actual towing capacity of a Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk v6?
Everywhere I look online I'm told 2000lbs.. MAX, MMMAAAXXX..
yet I remember watching a video during my research that said the KL had a much higher towing capacity than the JK.. but online they are both 2K MAX..?
then the thread that lead me joining this group from 2 years ago, mentions towing capacities as high as 5,000 lbs..
Where can I get these number substantiated.. So when I make my KL Purchase and then go to an RV dealer to purchase my trailer I don't get "well your vehicle can't tow this!".. sigh..
I'm currently looking at either the Airstream Base camp or more likely one of the UEV Conquer North America 440 or 490's... which rate GVWR @ 4,000 lbs. There is tons of Video evidence of JK's towing these things all around the US. and yet.. Per the internet.. they shouldn't be able to do this with only a 2,000 lb capacity..
Sigh..
