Yes, my Limited has both. Assist works with a uconnect subscription but my sales guy told me the 911 button will work no matter what. So without a cell paired and/or a uconnect subscription the 911 button should be able to make an emergency call. I'll have to check the manual.

Manual just says make an emergency call with a press of the button. No details.

By US law all cellular devices must be able to call 911 even without a cellular contract. So the cell phone in the uconnect system will be able to call 911 no matter what in the United States. The down side to this is that all monthly cellular fees include a fee for 911 service to pay for those phones.

This means even old cell phones that no longer have a service contract can still be used to call for emergency help.
