Hmmm. I haven't attacked that bolt/plug on mine, but from what I'm seeing in your pics, it seems like there is rust binding the plug to the cover ; to me, that screams impact gun, just to break the rust seal easily.

edit : from 'what' I'm seeing

Hi everyone,

There's mentioning of needing bits etc. Assuming you have a standard 3/8" ratchet (or a 1/2" ratchet with 3/8" adapter), you have everything you need, no additional bits are neccesary. The 3/8" square ratchet end fits the RDM plug. Depending on how tight it is (and how long an extension you have - from the photo below mine is 3 or 4"), you may need a swivel but all of this is the 3/8" ratchet size.

I think...@rumrunner had a bit of a fight with the little ball, trying to get the 3/8 ratchet in there...so was looking for a straight square bit.

this is how much I used. from the black sharpie mark to the visible level now. 200 ml? 6.7 oz? might have to recheck that unit of measure. does that sound right?

That's strange. Measures on the right are onces, right ? Don't know if it's camera angle or what, but onces aren't where they should be : 4 onces is in reality just under 120 ml, but the '4' I see there is almost at 160 -ish ? The next line on the right has no number but should be 8 onces (235 ml), yet it's closer to 300. So you took about 220 ml, which is close to one cup, if the left numbers are good. If we look at numbers on the right, you're correct it's more like 6 onces (and change).

thank you
I don't know, it's all wrapped up in the basement now. but I think we're in the ballpark
Yeah no big deal. My guess as to why you have MLs on your bottles is a global market thing. Canada and Europe (and pretty much the rest of the world) use litres, you guys still use quarts. Funny thing is, up here in Canada, I look at motor oil quarts, and some are 1 quart, others are 1 litre (1 litre is roughly 35 onces), but they all have dual measures on them. It could depend on where exactly they are bottled.
