2019 Power liftgate

Is there a way to pause the power liftgate on the 2019? This weekend I had skis on the roof racks and wanted to shove more stuff in the back of the car. I was hoping to only open the liftgate 3/4 or so way and it only seems like I can either open or close it fully with no option to pause or stop the cycle.
