My decision to purchase might depend on SiriusXM REPLAY function. I presently have another mfr vehicle with capability to stream on multiple preset SiriusXM channels at once. I can change the channels and replay up to 30 and 60 minutes while changing channels all day long without loosing streaming memory. I read the U-Connect manual which suggest SiriusXM can only REPLAY one channel at a time, memory is lost when the channel is changed. Has anyone found a work around besides subscribing to wireless hot spot or streaming through phone app which would not be accessible through the on screen system?

"Replay
The replay function provides a means to store and replay
up to 22 minutes of music audio and 48 minutes of talk
radio. Once the channel is switched, content in replay
memory is lost.

Press the “Replay” button on the touchscreen. The play/
pause, rewind/forward and live buttons will display at the
top of the screen, along with the replay time.
You can exit by pressing the “Replay” button on the
touchscreen, any time during the Replay mode."

To be honest I've never used that feature. I just use it like a radio. Otherwise I have an SD card in my 2018 with all my music and some play lists I just "stream" off that.

This is about the new for 2019 Jeep Cherokee Limited 2.0T with 8.4" NAV with SIRIUS.

I have a Nissan and have no problem streaming all preset channels simultaneously. When I have a long trip I can flip channels, replay, fast forward, switch channels over and over, never loose buffered memory, all the way from when I started the car up to 60 minutes in the past. Useful for long commute/trips. I found this in other makes including Honda, Toyota, Ford and others -- only Jeep does not have it.

Anyone who only has a Jeep or does not subscribe to SIRIUS would have no Idea what I am talking about. I drive a new sedan for commuting, was hoping to replace my old 2004 Jeep Liberty with a new trail rated Jeep in place of the car. For now, Jeep is off my list.

Prefer Outlander wheels over Limited but do not like the seat emboss. Otherwise, it would be perfect except SIRIUS stream does not function as it should.

I know that's what the manual says but I'm pretty sure it saves the replay for all 12 channels you have as presets. I hop around presets a fair bit and if I land in the middle of a song, I can back it up to the start of that song. Now, I haven't really tried going back more than to the beginning of the currently playing song so maybe you can't go back an hour on each channel.

Sounds encouraging that the tuner may work as expected. I checked the manual as quoted above. There is no guarantee the manual covers all detail or is up to date. I did check manuals for other manufacturers tuners and they are specific, I verified a few having access, they function normally. I will ask the dealer to demonstrate when the time comes. I will be ready to make my buying decision shortly once I know my commute after a job change.

The Jeep averages 25 mpg combined which is not too far from my sedan which I achieve 27-30 mpg. With the benefit of having 4WD and replacing two vehicles with one. My 2004 Liberty LTD only gets 10 MPG it is clean @81kmi, I only use it to go to HD and supermarket. Otherwise, it is not practical to use, I do not want to add too many miles for resale.

Just a heads up the KL doesn't have good resale at any mileage. 2016 High Altitude package, loaded, minus sunroof, 6570 miles and in spotless condition....$23,000. Buy what you like and want to drive. Don't worry about resale. But I keep my rides for 10 years or more.

yep you have it right.. if that feature is so important you arent interested in a Jeep now... well... Farewell.
I saw an ad for a new Jetta. All they talked about was how you could change the color of the lighting on the dash! WTF? Maybe I'd like to know what the milage is on a Diesel with the correct EPA Software! LOL

So, I had a chance to play around with this today on my commute to work. If you press the replay button, it displays a scrubbing bar where you can go forward and back in time. It also seems to put your radio in a mode where as you change stations (presets only), it starts playing at the beginning of the last song. Pretty cool. You can then ffwd or rew as you like.
If you press the Live button, it jumps forward to the live broadcast point. I could jump back and forth through my 12 presets and it didn't loose any of the buffer. I didn't try it on FM but I think it only works on satellite radio.
