Not sure what is official or not about the upcoming SRT cherokee but hey anything can work up a good discussion.

there has been rumors that the engine the SRT Cherokee will end up using is the penstar matched with two turbo chargers. Twin turbo V6 for this chassis oh baby... :blush:

What do you guys think about that?

At first I heard that they will just take the tigershark engine boost it making 300hp but now the word on the street is they will take the pentar v6 either 3.2 or 3.6 with two turbochargers making over 400hp. I mean that is a serious amount of power for this platform don't you think.

300hp I think would be enough to get the job done.

The penstar even with one turbo will still get them around 350hp depending on the displacement too.

All this talk about the SRT has got me thinking only if...

That is just a trmendous amount of power that I wouldn't need for my daily driving. Plus it would probably scare the pants of my baby lol. But i would love to trest drive it when it comes out.

Haven't found a rendering or a picture of the SRT cherokee just yet but do you guys like the bold muscular looks it has.

Compared to the current model how different will it be? faster? better looking?

Not like the current SRT8 jeep isn't insanely powerful. I wouldn't expect the SRT Cherokee to by any less

So rumors have it that the next engine transplant will be the exact same as the one from the Maserati Quattraporte. Which is a 3.0L V6 twin turbo making just over 400hp and 400ft tq. For those of you who have heard the sweet exhuast tone of the Quattraporte dream no more! But the only thing is that it will have the 8 speed zf transmission instead of this 9 speed transmission.

I miss my 06 SRT Ocho, had a blast with it on the Gold Rush Rally. I saw a 2014 at the dealer last week and almost fell over when I saw the MSRP.
