My Jeep makes the same noise and it has 81000 miles on it. It’s because it’s a Tiger shark engine. There are 2 main issues wrong with this engine high oil consumption and flaws in the MultiAir system design.

??? was this supposed to be replying to something?
Maybe a mod can move it and delete my post.
Yep, we've had quite a few threads here about the 2.4L making noise, one recently with a video. Maybe a few months ago, I can't find it just now. Anyway, OP here must've wanted to reply to it but started a new conversation instead.

I've had my '15 2.4L Trailhawk for eight years, with 51,000 miles now and I have nothing negative to report on it. I admittedly change the oil every 4,500-5,000 miles with full synthetic and have never added oil between changes. In fact, I just checked it today after about 500 miles and again, it's in the acceptable range and look new (has about 1,600 miles on the current oil).

I've made a few engine changes, but have been extremely fortunate - so far.
