I like pretty much everything about the dash and controls in the Cherokee. Nothing to really complain about. That is a lot of buttons on the steering wheel though. First thing that came in to mind when I saw this picture.

The brushed aluminum is a nice touch to make the dash pop. The gauge cluster looks nice with the LCD in the center.

If I had to chose something to change it would be the position of the temperture control, a little low for me but I guess it's something I have to get use to.

An more pictures of the door panels?

I'll tell you after I've driven one. :) Hard to say anything from the pix except that it LOOKS nice.

Very true, I didn't want to have the thread focused purely on design since it's just a matter of time till we will get to see these in person and have reviewers telling us what they think about it.

So far, I absolutely love the design

Who knows when reviewers or the general public will actually get their hands on a Cherokee at this point with all the delays. I like the navigation screen with the vents on either side. The buttons on the steering wheel are fine as long as they are positioned nicely and are user friendly. I hate it when the steering wheel buttons are confusing and you end up looking down at the wheel while you are driving just because you want to change the music, at that point you should just use the center audio control anyway. Will there be any interior options as far as the accents (wood, leather, etc?)

I like the center screen between the speedo and tach but I wish we got the full digital package like the grands get where the speedo is digital too. Then again I guess a manual is good to have in case the electronics die.

As for the temp controls they are low but remember they are redundant for all except the base sport I think - there are electronic duplicates on the center navi screen.

I'm not a fan of black faced instruments with white lettering - much prefer a white face with black lettering, but it seems all manufacturers are now going this route.

nice! so i take it you keep that on you at all times when you're out?

you should start a gun owners thread
No, he should NOT! This is a Jeep forum, not a gun forum.

Guns are one the topics (like abortion, politics, and religion) that generate heated, passionate responses. Some people believe that everyone should be carrying while others believe they are evil incarnate. I was an admin of a tools forum where a few people insisted on discussing guns even in the face of complaints from other forum members who were extremely offended. I resigned as admin because of this issue.

Personally, I like guns and am a member of two gun forums. But I do NOT want them discussed here. Respect your neighbor - take gun discussions elsewhere.

Dan.

I like it-- not much point being on this forum otherwise.... If I'm being picky, the gear selector is a bit tall, and could be a little more styled.

Yes, I realize that's not part of the dash, but in my defense, it's sticking up into the photo!
