I'm planning a weekend trip of 1 or 2 days to play around in the western foothills of the Sierras, with maybe camping or hotel/motel depends on how it goes. I did some of these routes with my motorcycle (R1200GSA) last year (http://tompino.com/r1200gsa-east-val...dventure-ride/).
This will be a nice mix of paved and unpaved routes, I'm estimating the off-road part to be at somewhere between 60 - 80 miles, and pretty easy at that.
This is what I have in mind, but I'm open for suggestions.
